Thirteen Indonesian and nineteen Vietnamese television journalists explored ways to report televisually in 2 five-day workshops in Jakarta and Hanoi in November 2007.

Guided by Reuters TV Production Editor Lloyd Watson and Jakarta-based cameraman Ahmed Assar in the Jakarta course and cameraman, Nguyen Van Vinh in the Hanoi workshop, the trainees looked at good and bad examples of video news reporting. Lectures, backed by practical exercises, reviewed techniques for camerawork and video editing and showed how to plan effective coverage.
