For more than two decades Thomson Reuters Foundation has provided training for journalists around the globe – sharing with them Reuters skills for fast, accurate and impartial reporting.
In addition to regular programmes of workshops in a diverse range of specialised fields, the Foundation also provides customised training upon request from clients. Recent commercial training projects have included a business journalism workshop funded by the Central Bank of Trinidad & Tobago for local financial reporters as well as stock market reporting training for Saudi journalists funded by the Saudi government’s stock market regulator, the Capital Markets Authority (CMA).
When a client requests tailored training, Thomson Reuters Foundation’s consultants identify the requirements and devise an appropriate course outline and costings for the client’s consideration and approval. Courses can be held at any client location in the world, or at training facilities provided by the Foundation or arranged with a third party. Normally group sizes are 10-15 people but larger or smaller groups can be handled too. Workshops may be for one or up to four days’ duration and can be conducted in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic or Russian.
